Handle with Care

Felix Schmelzer and Alexander Leitner met while working at Claus Preisinger's winery in Gols, and since 2022 they have been making their wines together at his facility, on a boutique scale of only about 5,000 bottles a year. The approach in the cellar is natural and traditional: treading the grapes by foot, a short maceration of just a few days on the skins, aging in used oak barrels and clay amphorae, and a minimal addition of only 10 mg of sulfur before bottling as the sole intervention.
